Description	:	Humeston New Era Jan 21, 1903 Obituary Elizabeth Jane Morford was born in Green county, Pennsylvania, November 14, 1835, and departed this life January 11, 1903, at the age of sixty-seven years, one month and twenty-seven days. She was converted in 1857 and united the M.E. church shorty after. She was married to Hamilton Poland December 7, 1858. To this union was born six children, two sons and four daughters; one son and one daughter preceded the monther to the spirt land in early childhood. Read More	Humeston New Era Jan 21, 1903 Obituary Elizabeth Jane Morford was born in Green county, Pennsylvania, November 14, 1835, and departed this life January 11, 1903, at the age of sixty-seven years, one month and twenty-seven days. She was converted in 1857 and united the M.E. church shorty after. She was married to Hamilton Poland December 7, 1858. To this union was born six children, two sons and four daughters; one son and one daughter preceded the monther to the spirt land in early childhood. The names of the children present to pay the last sad rites were C. R. Poland, Clara Larkins and Lucy Poland, all of Wayne county, Mary Baltimore, of Oklahoma, was not present, but has the sympathy of all her friends and neighbors who reside here. Soon after her marriage they moved to a different part of the state, and took her letter out of the M. E. church and with her husband united with the Church of God, or Winebenarians, and in the spring of 1871, they moved to Wayne county, Iowa, and at her earlist convenience after the organization of the Unity Baptist church she with her husband united with it and remained a member of that body until her death. In compliance with her request, a short funeral service of song, scripture reading and prayer was conducted at the home by the pastor of her church, who preached the funeral sermon at the church as requested. After these services the reamins was laid to rest in the Mallette (Green Bay) cemetoery, south of Humeston. The bereaved family tender their sincere thanks to their neighbors for kindness during their sad affliction. M.S.C.
