Description	:	CHURCHILL, ELIZABETH—Elizabeth Garland Churchill, the daughter of Joe and Emeline Garland, was born March 18, 1887, at Ohiowa, Neb. She passed away at her home in Geneva, Neb., Sunday, July 15, 1956, at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 29 days. She had been in ill health for some time and recently underwent surgery. She united with the Chelsea Evangelical United Brethren church at an early age, and transferred to the Geneva Evangelical United Brethren church in 1934, after moving to Geneva. Read More	CHURCHILL, ELIZABETH—Elizabeth Garland Churchill, the daughter of Joe and Emeline Garland, was born March 18, 1887, at Ohiowa, Neb. She passed away at her home in Geneva, Neb., Sunday, July 15, 1956, at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 29 days. She had been in ill health for some time and recently underwent surgery. She united with the Chelsea Evangelical United Brethren church at an early age, and transferred to the Geneva Evangelical United Brethren church in 1934, after moving to Geneva. On September 3, 1907, she was united in marriage to Albert Churchill. To this union was born one son, Melvin, of Seward. Mr. and Mrs. Churchill resided on a farm in Chelsea township until Mr. Churchill’s death in 1933. Following his death, Mrs. Churchill moved to her home in Geneva. She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters as well as her husband. She leaves to mourn one son, Melvin, three grandsons, Bernard of York, Melvin Jr. and Roy of Seward, one great-grandson, Monty, two sisters, Hannah Skoglund of San Dimas, Cal., and Laura Walters of Geneva, four brothers Charles of Bagley, Minn., and John, Bill and Lou of Ohiowa and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical United Brethren church in Geneva at 2 p. m. Monday, July 16. Rev. W. L. Schreurs officiated. Rev. Maude Mann, a former pastor, sang “Beyond the Sunset” and “In the Garden.” Mrs. Oscar Nelson was accompanist. Pallbearers were Robert Yates, Robert Nunns, Richard Nunns, Clarence Nun, Bernard Weiss and Harry Fox. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal, July 19th, 1956
