Description	:	ELIZABETH ROBERTS Elizabeth Sanders Roberts daughter of Samuel and Ann Sanders, was born July 23, 1879, at Oskaloosa, Iowa, and departed this life March 23, 1938, aged 58 years and 8 months. She was united in marriage to Henry A. Roberts, of Lamoni, Iowa, on August 8, 1900. They lived in the vicinity of Lamoni, Iowa all their married life with the exception of four years in Bates county, Missouri. To this union was born one son, John Tommie Roberts of Bethany, Mo., in whose home she resided the last several months of her recent illness.... She was united in marriage to Henry A. Roberts, of Lamoni, Iowa, on August 8, 1900. They lived in the vicinity of Lamoni, Iowa all their married life with the exception of four years in Bates county, Missouri. To this union was born one son, John Tommie Roberts of Bethany, Mo., in whose home she resided the last several months of her recent illness. Mrs. Roberts had been afflicted with heart trouble since December 1936, and was confined to her bed since April 1937. Taking pneumonia about a week ago was the cause of her death. She was nursed and cared for by her son's wife. During her entire illness every care, kindness, and consideration were given to her that loving hands could bestow. She was a kind mother and was happy when she was caring for her family and her home; a friend to all who knew her. She united with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints early in life. She was a faithful member, loyal to her church, gaining much comfort from her church associations, being blessed many times by her heavenly Father of whom she often made mention in her recent illness. She was an example of living faith to those who knew her best. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and son, of Bethany, Mo.; her husband's mother, who has made her home with them for several years, one brother, John N. Sanders, of Seattle, Wash., and a host of friends. Rites were Thursday afternoon at Oland church south of Lamoni, E. E. Haskins and W. E. Shakespeare officiating. Vocal music was by Mrs. E. E. Haskins, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Sharp, and Roy Kopp. Pallbearers were: Roy Kopp, Velton Haskins, F. J. Sharp, Maurice DeLong, Joseph Althouse and Grover Sharp. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery, Lamoni.
