Description	:	Henry A. Roberts Henry Albert Roberts was born near Eddyville, Iowa, June 16, 1876. He passed away at Bethany, Mo., June 20, 1954, at the age of 78 years and four days. When Henry was three years old his father was killed in an accident, and his MOTHER, ELIZABETH BURGETT, was not able to care for him and his brother, so they were adopted into different families. Roberts Henry Albert Roberts was born near Eddyville, Iowa, June 16, 1876. He passed away at Bethany, Mo., June 20, 1954, at the age of 78 years and four days. When Henry was three years old his father was killed in an accident, and his MOTHER, ELIZABETH BURGETT, was not able to care for him and his brother, so they were adopted into different families. Henry was adopted by John P. Roberts and wife in 1879. In 1894 he moved with his foster parents to Lamoni, and the greater part of his life was spent in that vicinity, with the exception of a few years spent in Bates County, Mo. Henry was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints in 1884. He was married to Elizabeth Sanders in 1900. They had one son, John Thomas of Bethany, Mo. Henry's wife died in 1938, and since that time he had made his home with this son. Funeral services were held at 2.30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Oland church, with William Shakespeare in charge, assisted by Bert DeLong. Music was furnished by Celeste Wilcoxson with Cynthia DeLong at the piano. Pall bearers were Flavius Sharp, Jewell Richardson, Darwin DeLong, Rutherford Shannon, Charles Updegraff, and Luther Bourne. Interment was In Rose Hill cemetery.
