Diltz, daughter of Geo. and Elizabeth Diltz, was born in Woodbury, Bedford Co., Pennsylvania, Nov. 26, 1843, and departed from this life Oct. 19, 1825. When 12 years of age she came to this state with her parents and passed most of her life in Tipton. She was united in marriage to Anthony R. Betzer at Tipton, Iowa, on Sept. 14, 1865. Diltz, daughter of Geo. and Elizabeth Diltz, was born in Woodbury, Bedford Co., Pennsylvania, Nov. 26, 1843, and departed from this life Oct. 19, 1825. When 12 years of age she came to this state with her parents and passed most of her life in Tipton. She was united in marriage to Anthony R. Betzer at Tipton, Iowa, on Sept. 14, 1865. To this union four children were born, Everett E. Betzer, of Kenosha, Wis., Mrs. Homer Fraseur, of Jesup, Iowa Mrs. M. E. Keller, of Tipton, Iowa, and Mrs. Lillie E. Woods, who died in 1911. She is also survived by an aged brother, D. A. Diltz, of Sheridan, Wyoming, 13 grand children and 4 great grandchildren. At an early period she affiliated with the Brethren church and while she was a home-loving person her interest and influence were always for the bettering of and uplifting of all with whom she came in contact. Up to the last part of June when she returned from Kenosha, Wis., where she had spent the winter with her son, Everett E. Better, she has enjoyed reasonably good health. But since that time she has gradually grown weaker, having lost the use of her mind, lying unconscious for the last six weeks. She has been a loving mother and an unfailing friend to all who knew her; always sacrificing herself to make others happier or more comfortable. We shall miss her, but she's gone to the great eternal beyond where life is free from this cumbrous load of clay and where it can go on in the developing and perfecting process according to the Great God's own plan.
