Warrenfells, widow of Dr. Vanzant B. Warrenfells, formerly of Chattanooga, died Friday in Oxford, Ohio, and her funeral was held there Sunday at the home of her daughter. Mrs. W. O. Cullen Jr. The Rev. A. L. Kershaw of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, officiated. Burial was in Martinsburg, W. Va. Mrs. Warrenfells suffered a paralysis stroke last February and since had been bedfast and unable to speak. She was born in Martinsburg. Her four brothers were Sen. W. P. Porterfield of Fargo, N. D.; Judge E. E. Porterfield of Kansas City, Milton Porterfield of Hagerstown, Md., and Joe Porterfield of Martinsburg, all now dead. After her marriage to Dr. Warrenfells, she made her home in Chattanooga for many years, where she was active in the Episcopal Church and the Parent-Teacher Association. Since the death of her husband 35 years ago, she had made her home with or near her daughter, Mrs. Cullen, who is remembered here as Miss Avis Warrenfells and is now publisher of the Oxford Press and College Corner News. Douglas Warrenfells of LaFayette, Ga., is her son and Dr. P. W. Warrenfells of Chattanooga is her nephew. She also is survived by two granddaughters, Mrs. John Dennison of Oxford and Mrs. Don Dennis of Reading, Pa.
