| Description | : | Elizabeth was the daughter of Caleb Smith and Hannah Wadleigh. She moved with her family from Raymond to Percy about 1787 when her father, having served in the Revolution, agreed to build a saw and grist mill in the town and settle there. In 1796 in Percy she married Captain Daniel Miles, who came to Percy in 1794. He was the son of Josiah Miles. (Several sources list 1799 as their marriage date but daughter, Hannah, was born in Jan 1797, so I believe 1796 is the accurate marriage date).
