Robertson was born Dec. 12, 1843, and departed this life Feb. 12, 1913. Aged 69 years and 2 months. At the age of 14 years she was converted and united with the Mt. Pisgah Baptist church in Fleming county, Ky. She was always loyal and devoted, clinging to the faith of her childhood and in her last days many times expressed regret that she could not enjoy again the blessings of active church work. Being kind and tender hearted she went about doing good and many have been the lives she brightened along her pilgrimage. In 1860 she was married to Jesse D. Stout, to which union four sons and two daughters were born. The two daughters preceded her to the better land in infancy. To the aged companion and manly sons we extend sympathy and point them to the great Comforter of the hearts of men. The funeral was conducted by Rev. W. A. Hyde at Plevna at the home of the deceased, in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends, after which interment was made in the Cedar Grove cemetery. Pisgah church, is no more with us. She was born in Fleming county, Ky., Dec. 12, 1844, and died at her home in Plevna, Mo., Feb. 12, 1913, making her 69 years and 2 months old. She was converted at the age of 14 years and united with the Mt. Pisgah Baptist church in Kentucky. Was married to Jesse D. Stout July 12, 1860. God blessed this union with 6 children, 4 of whom survive her and are christians and have christian homes. They are Lawson B. of Plevna, John R. of Brashear, Wm. T. of Palmyra, Varden L. of Epworth, Mo. The Bible was the word of God and word of life to her. She had a frail constitution but was tenderly cared for by a kind and devoted husband, as none other could do. She loved her church and pastor with the undying love of a mother in Israel. Her last sickness was if possible made less severe by the companionship and tender care of her aged companion and four devoted sons, all of whom with willing hands were at her bedside during her last sickness and death. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hyde at the home and remains were laid to rest in the Cedar Grove cemetery.
