Read More	Ella Ann Giesman, having failing health for the past month, died October 8, 1990 in Grand Junction Colorado at the age of 98 years four months and one day. Ella, one of eleven children was born June 27, 1892 to Pioneer parents, Christian and Linn Beer Parli, who had immigrated to eastern Nebraska from Switzerland. Her early years wee spent on the family homestead south of Pawnee City. She attended Frog Pond School. Her father donated one acre of his homestead as a site of the Mount Zion Church, and it was where she was baptized. during most of her life she was a faithful member of Pleasant Valley EUB Church., later transferring her membership to the United Methodist Church in Pawnee City. Her lifelong commitment of the Christian faith was honored seven years ago when she received a 75 year membership pin from the United Methodist Church. Ella was married on May 1, 1926 to John Giesman, who preceded her in death in 1977, after 50 years of marriage. A daughter, Phyllis was born in 1930. Most of their life was spent on two farms in the area. In 1980, she moved to Colorado to be with her daughter and family. A kind and gentle person, she loved her church, her family and the farm home. Left to mourn her passing are daughter Phyllis and Reid Dickerson of Grand Junction, Colorado.Grand children David Dickerson, wife Vicki and boys Russell and Keith of Scottsdale Ariz, Anne Pate and husband Bob of Boise Idaho, Jim Dickerson and wife Dorothy and daughter Jana of Fort Collins, Colorado Rob Dickerson and wife Wendy of Boulder, Colorado and Kathy Dickerson of Grand Junction Colorado. She is also survived by a sister Bessie Guttridge of Sun City Ariz and Jane Giesman sister in law Columbia, Iowa as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Services were held on Saturday October 13 1990 at 10:30 am at the Pawnee City United Methodist church with Rev. Connie Buehler officiating. Laura Turnbull, accompanied by Mae Finkner sang" In the Garden" and "How Great Thous Art" Pallbearers were Donald Mort, Roland Finkner, Glen Binder, Don Roland, Donald Bloss and Bill Keegan. Burial was in the Pawnee Cemetery
