Description	:	Funeral Services for Ella Dubs, age 95 of Mott, will be held 10:30am Monday, July 25, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mott. Pastor John Amundson and Pastor Joe Burgess will officiate with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery in Mott. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30pm Sunday evening, July 24, 2011 at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott. Ella Bertha Kamrath Dubs and, her twin sister, Ester Margaretta Kamrath were born April 22, 1916, to Ferdinand August Kamrath and Dorothea (Eschenbacher) Kamrath at the farm 6 miles SW of Mott. Ella graduated from Mott High School in 1934. She had an interesting and varied career. Her focus was three-fold: 1) farming, 2) church and 3) family. Ella drove school bus along with her brothers, Herman and Wallie. She farmed with Wallie for a few years and drove grain truck for Jan and Ron Swindler. Ella worked at the Kamrath Sales Pavilion for 25 years with Herman and Irmgard Kamrath. She was always ready to discuss farming. Ella liked to garden and always grew a huge, beautiful garden until moving into the Good Samaritan Society in Mott in 2005. Ella was a very active member of the Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church in Mott. She was the first Parish Secretary at Trinity Lutheran for 15 years, and was an organist for both churches for 65 years. Ella volunteered teaching religious education, Sunday School, Jr Lutherans, Vacations Bible School, and Release Time at Christ Lutheran Church and later at Trinity Lutheran Church for 67 years. She was very active in WELCA and other women's organizations of the church as well as serving in various positions on the district and state levels in American Lutheran Church and Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Ella was very involved with the church in making quilts and activities in women groups. She loved music and played piano at the nursing home for many, many years and was awarded as Volunteer of the Year in 1997 at the Good Samaritan Society in Mott for volunteering over 2000 hours. She was very proud to help with the election board for many years. She stayed at home to care for her parents until their death. Soon after, Ella and Otto Dubs were married on November 14, 1965. Otto died on July 22, 1972. She assisted in caring for her nephews and nieces and their children as well. She passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Mott Good Samaritan Nursing Center at the age of 95 years, 2 months, 24 days. Ella had 2 stepchildren, Waldemar Dubs (Arline) and Ardina (Dubs) King (Ernest M King). Ella is survived by one sister-in-law Irene (Walter) Kamrath, Bemidji, MN, step daughter-in-law, Arline Dubs, Fargo, ND; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Archie (Betty) Roemmich, Paulsboro, NJ; Roger (Marlayne) Domyahn, Minneapolis, MN; Arlyce (James) Much, Ranier, OR; Larry Roemmich, Dickinson, ND; Mildred (Graham) Bolding; Manteca, CA; Darlyne (Carl) Gehring, Harker Heights, TX; Paul (Linda) Kamrath, Florence, Mt; Helen (John) Miller, Billings, MT; Dale (Sandy) Roemmich, Pipestone, MN; Meg Nathan, St. Paul, MN; Kathy (Daniel) Shea, Cass Lake, MN, and Ron Swindler, Mott, ND. Ella was preceded in death by her parents, F.A. & Dorethea Kamrath, husband, Otto Dubs, infant twin sister, Ester, brothers, Herman and Walter Kamrath, sisters, Anna Domjahn and Lousie Roemmich, and niece, Janice Swindler, stepdaughter, Ardina (Dubs) King and stepson, Waldemar Dubs. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 7:30pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home and on Monday one hour prior to services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mott.
