ELLA LAWSON CLAIMED BY DEATH Succumbed To Complication of Diseases, Sunday Funeral Services Were Held Tuesday Mrs. Ella Lawson, age 67 years, died at her home in this city on last Sunday at an early hour from complication of diseases. A very strange coincidence in connection with her death is that just a year ago on Sunday her beloved husband passed away. She was the widow of the late Robert L. Lawson, one of the community's most honored and prominent citizens. She was a devout christian, a woman of a most charming manner, and her love and attention to her church and neighbors gained for her a host of friends who will mourn her loss. She is survived by two sons, Mr. Harry Lawson, who has been associated with the Elwood Sterling Plumbing and Heating company of this city, and Mr. Ira Lawson, Manager of the Wallace M. Quinn company seafood plant of Morehead City, N. C. She is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Douglas Stant, and three daughters [sisters?], Mrs. Robert Sterling, Mrs. Pearl Nelson, of Crisfield, and Mrs. Alexander Tyler, of Rock Hall. Funeral services were held from her late home on last Tuesday, conducted by Rev. J. W. Rowlenson. Interment was made in the Asbury Cemetery.
