Description	:	Three of St. Paul Family Killed Saturday Three members of the Edwin Falk family of St. Paul perished in an airplane crash near Pochantas, Illinois Saturday, October 7. Those dead are Mrs. Ella Falk age 62 years, son Carl age 23 years and daughter Jean age 20 years. They had left that morning in a passenger plane piloted by J. R. McWilliams, 36, from Grand Island, to visit their daughter and sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hale, Jr. at Richmond, Kentucky. Those dead are Mrs. Ella Falk age 62 years, son Carl age 23 years and daughter Jean age 20 years. They had left that morning in a passenger plane piloted by J. R. McWilliams, 36, from Grand Island, to visit their daughter and sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hale, Jr. at Richmond, Kentucky. When they were east of St. Louis they ran into a driving rain storm. Onlookers heard two explosions and the plane crashed to the ground in flames. The pilot and one of the women were thrown out and the other two were found in the plane. The bodies will arrive in St. Paul this morning and services will be held this afternoon in the Methodist Church with Rev. Leypoldt of St. Paul and Rev. Bell of O'Neill officiating. Surviving are two daughters of Mrs. Falk, Mrs. Alva Hale, Jr. of Richmond, Kentucky and Mrs. Harold F. Taylor of Lincoln; three brothers, Albin, who has made his home with Mrs. Falk, Oscar of Denver, Colorado and Gus Haggstrom of Luchton, Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Dahlberg of San Francisco, California and Mrs. Arthur Larson of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Pamela and Linda Hale, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1937. Mrs. Falk is well known in Wolbach, having worked in the Peoples State Bank for several years. She will be remembered as Ella Haggstrom, sister of Albin Haggstrom and an Aunt of Virgil Haggstrom, who is operator of Virg's Cash Market.
