Description	:	From The Wolbach Messenger, June 19, 1919, page 4, transcribed by Linda Berney: Ella Mikkelsen was born in Denmark, December 27th, 1880, and died at her home in Grand Island, Nebraska, June 14th, 1919, aged 38 years, 5 months and 17 days. In 1884 she came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Mikkelsen. Since then she has lied most of the time in Wolbach, Nebraska, but she has also resided at St. Paul and Grand Island. December 18th, 1899 she was united in marriage to Chris Petersen. To this union six children were born, two of whom died... In 1884 she came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Mikkelsen. Since then she has lied most of the time in Wolbach, Nebraska, but she has also resided at St. Paul and Grand Island. December 18th, 1899 she was united in marriage to Chris Petersen. To this union six children were born, two of whom died in infancy. The four remaining are Hannah, Boddell, Lydia and Rasmus. She leaves to mourn the loss her husband, her children, her parents, three sisters and three brothers. In infancy she was baptised in the Lutheran church when in St. Paul she united with the Presbyterian church. Having been reared in the community, she is well known to most o the people, and the surviving family and relatives have the sympathy of a large number of friends. Funeral services were held in the Trinity Lutheran church of Wolbach, at 1 o'clock p.m. Wednesday, June 18th, 1919, conducted by Rev. P. A. Davis of Fairbury, Nebraska, assisted by Rev. R. A. White after which the remains were laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery.
