She had been in failing health for three years, but was only confined to her bed the last two weeks. Ella Preston was born May 9, 1870,on the farm where she died,her parents being Jerome Mann and Olive Barto Mann. On March 15, 1887, she was married to William Preston, who preceded her in death in 1935. Mrs. Preston was a member of the Methodist church in Center Junction. She is survived by her three children, Ghita Frose, Grover and Frank Preston, all of this community. She also leaves seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev. R.C. Scott officiating. Burial was made in Madison Pioneer cemetery. Pallbearers were Alan Serbousek, Grey Drelbelbis, Fred Blohm, Earl Sherman, Henry Boner and John Otten.
