Description	:	Ellen Kelley, daughter of Patrick Kelley and Anna Higgins, married Thomas Byrne in County Mayo, Ireland. She was widowed when pregnant with their seventh child. Ellen immigrated to the United States on the steamship Abyssinia in April of 1881 with the children of her first marriage, arriving in New York, New York. Upon their arrival, they resided in Nebraska with Ellen's brother-in-law Pat Byrne, whom she married. By 1885, Ellen lived with her family in O'Connor, Greeley, Nebraska.
