Description	:	James Thomas Byrne, son of Thomas Byrne and Ellen Kelley, immigrated to the United States on the steamship Abyssinia in April of 1881 with his widowed mother and six siblings, arriving in New York, New York. Upon their arrival, they resided in Nebraska with his uncle Pat Byrne, whom his mother married. After his mother was widowed again, her third marriage was to Hugh McManus. He married Mary Catherine Tierney on 5 Oct 1911 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska. They had three children, including two sons who died in infancy. By 1920, James and Mary resided in Greeley with their daughter Angela. James was widowed in 1948.
