Death of Ellen May Briggs Ellen May Briggs was born in Swingstone county, Illinois, May 21, 1887, and died at her home in Birmingham, Iowa, December 19th, 1916, at the age of 29 years, 6 mos. and 18 days. Through her years of affliction she has always been cheerful and thoughtful and considerate of others. She leaves to mourn her death, her mother, Mrs. Emma Briggs, two brothers, Arthur A. Briggs of Birmingham and Harold A. Briggs of Waterloo; Also one sister, Mrs. Agnes Thompson of Fairfield. Funeral services were held Friday, December 22, at 2 p.m., at her late home, conducted by Rev. C. E. Baumgartner, pastor of the M. E. church. Burial was made in the Birmingham cemetery.
