Ochiltree, will be brought to Tipton for burial this week. She died at the home of her brother in Appleton, Wisconsin, October 22, following a lingering illness. Interment was in the Masonic cemetery. Reared Brothers Elma J. Ochiltree was born near Tipton on September 17, 1866, and died at the home of hr brother in Appleton Tuesday. She was one of seven children of Kyle and Sarah Wertz Ochiltree. She attended the Tipton schools and after the death of the mother in 1887 she took charge of the home and reared the two younger brothers. Lived in Michigan Following her father's death in 1900 she moved to Iron River, Michigan, where she had since made her home with her brother Marion. At an early age she united with the Lutheran church in Tipton. Upon removal to Iron River she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church in that city where she remained a faithful and loyal member. Elma was a kind and devoted sister, always thoughtful of others and eager to be of assistance, patient and uncomplaining for her long suffering. Survivors She leaves to mourn her passing four brothers, Marion of Iron River, Walter of Appleton, Wisconsin, Charles and Bert Ochiltree of Tipton. Two sisters, Mattie and Ella preceded her in death. Also she leaves many nieces and nephews and a host of friends in her home town of Iron River.
