Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. Brown was born Feb. 21, 1899, at Palms, Calif., to Charles and Edith Bristow Brown. He came to Plymouth County at the age of 2 and lived since that time at rural Merrill. He was a retired farmer. His marriage to Gertrude Morehead took place Dec. 16, 1920, at Adaville. He was a member of the Adaville United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau. Survivors are his wife, Gertrude of Merrill and two sons, Merlin Brown of Merrill and Kenneth Brown of LeMars; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
