Eager was born in Central City, Nebr. March 20, 1877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt W. Eager. He spent his boyhood at Beaver Crossing, Nebr., moving to Billings in 1896. Burial was in Billings. Eager was born in Central City, Nebr. March 20, 1877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt W. Eager. He spent his boyhood at Beaver Crossing, Nebr., moving to Billings in 1896. He returned to Nebraska and became associated with his father and the rest of the family in operating a general store at Beaver Crossing, where he remained until 1916, when he went to Winnett, Mont. Mr. Eager married Bess Ayrsmith in Nebraska in 1899. She died in 1900. At that time he was operating a bank in Hemingford which was jointly owned with his father. He returned to Beaver Crossing and married Lillie Schmehr April 28, 1908. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Grass, Cut Bank, Mont. and Mrs. A. B. (Louise) Ward, Lincoln; a son, Rex H. Eager, Winnett, Mont.; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters, the only other members of his family, preceded him in death.
