Description	:	Ella Almeria (Taylor) Eager was born July 7, 1854 at Medina, Ohio. Her parents were early settlers in Ohio where her father enlisted in the Union Army. This was the last known of him as he was listed among the unaccounted for either killed in battle or died as a prisoner of war in a confederate prison. Her parents were early settlers in Ohio where her father enlisted in the Union Army. This was the last known of him as he was listed among the unaccounted for either killed in battle or died as a prisoner of war in a confederate prison. Later her mother was married to Mr. Frank Hodges and the family came to Nebraska in 1873 and settled at Lone Tree, now Central City, where she was married to DeWitt Eager July 5, 1874. They moved to Beaver Crossing in 1885 where she has made her home ever since. Deceased leaves a husband, three sons, two daughters, four grandchildren and scores of relatives and friends to mourn her departure from earth. The funeral was held at the residence at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, June 29, services being conducted by Rev. Henry Wharton, pastor of the M. E. church. Vocal music was furnished by the male quartette, and Vera Borden sang a beautiful solo. A very large crowd was present to pay their last tribute of respect to an ideal wife, mother and citizen. The flowers arranged about the casket were beautiful in the extreme and consisted of large bouquets of roses, sweet peas, lillies of the valley and numerous set pieces from friends, clubs and lodges. At the close of the services the funeral cortege proceeded to the Beaver cemetery where interment was made in the Eager family lot. Mr. Eager and children have the deep sympathy of the general public in their sad hour. On Same Page Bert Hedges and wife of Belgrade, Alvin Eager and wife and Mrs. Gray of Grand Island, Amos Eager and wife, Earl Eager and wife and Frank Eager, all of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Dredla and two daughters of Crete, were in attendance at the funeral of Mrs. Ella Eager Tuesday.
