The Rev Marcille Jensen officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Plainview with Ashburn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Elmer Henry Martin Doerr, son of George Sr. and Louise (Nagel) Doerr, was born April 29, 1917, in Knox County. He attended rural school in Know County near Creighton and did livestock trucking in his early years. On June 28, 1941, he married Geale Loney at O”Neill. The couple farmed northeast of Plainview near Eden Valley before moving to California in 1952. The Doerrs returned to Nebraska in 1959 and farmed northwest of Plainview. They moved to Neligh about five years ago. Mr. Doerr died Thursday, November 8, at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. Preceding him in death were his parents, six brothers, Alfred Doerr, Arthur Doerr, Clarence Doerr, Lawrence Doerr, Martin Doerr and William Doerr, and three sisters, Lilly Mueller, Emma Nielsen and Ella Oltjenbruns [?]. Survivors include his wife, a son, Roland Doerr of Minneapolis, Minn.; a daughter and her husband Phyllis and Duane Eichberger of Neligh; a sister, Esther Mueller of Creighton; two brothers, Carl Doerr of Atwater, Minn. and Herbert Doerr of Norfolk; five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. - Neligh News And Leader, Wednesday, November 14, 2001, page 4 Contributor: Donna (48773196) • [email protected]
