Death resulted from an infection of the throat, followed by a choking spell. Doctors worked unceasingly in an effort to relived the condition, but to no avail and the Spirit found release from the ills of this world in the fulfillment of the joys of the life eternal. Read More	Sudden Death of Elmer Henry Tharnish The community was indeed shocked to learn of the sudden departure from this life of Elmer Henry Tharnish, which occurred at his home on Monday evening, February 25 at 11:10. Death resulted from an infection of the throat, followed by a choking spell. Doctors worked unceasingly in an effort to relived the condition, but to no avail and the Spirit found release from the ills of this world in the fulfillment of the joys of the life eternal. Loving hands were also administering to his needs and the sunshine of the love of the hearts that are now lonely, because of the parting, lent its brightness to the pathway, as he went down the Valley of the Shadow and up to the haven, where the Light is the Glory of God. He had been at school Monday morning and was taken ill shortly before the noon hour and had to be taken home. His sudden passing is much deplored by everyone and his place in the home will be hard to fill. He was a student at St. Ludger Academy and was a most likeable young boy and was a favorite among his companions and school associates. He was readily recognized for his pleasant smile and was a lover of all outdoor sports. Elmer Henry Tharnish was born at Creighton, Nebr. and would have been 12 years of age had he lived until March 16 this year. The relatives who survive are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tharnish Sr.; five brothers, Henry Jr.; Ernest; Albert; Leo and Joe and five sisters, Mrs. Otto Balleweg; Mrs. John Mathine; Mrs. Orville Stolp; Elma Tharnish and Sister Rosalina of Westphalia, Ia. Funeral services will be held from St. Ludger Catholic church this Thursday morning at 9:30 and will be conducted by the pastor, Father Windolph. To the family who mourns the loss of a loved one, the entire community of friends with the greatest sincerity, extends heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement. ...The Creighton News 21 Feb 1929
