She taught at Lincoln School in Stanwood, Iowa, and at Tipton Elementary School. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jerrett Koenigsberg, Albuquerque, N.M., and Jane and Joe Reed, DeWitt, Iowa; sons, Samuel Thomas, Naperville, Joseph Thomas, Platteville, Wis., Michael Thomas, Cedar Park, Texas, and Mark Thomas, Marshalltown, Iowa; 19 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Blanche Bowman, Downey, Iowa; and brothers, Robert Countryman, Tipton, Hilbert Countryman, Moline, Richard Countryman, Davenport, and Claire Countryman, Bella Vista, Ark.
