Description	:	She was the daughter of Loring Flagg Munson and Ida M. Hayward of Edmunds and Jonesboro Maine. Elsie married Alpheus Foss as his second wife Dec 22, 1906 in Edmunds. They had children Dorcas, Josie , Norman, Harland and Francis Loring Foss. In the 1910 census they resided in Jonesboro, Alpheus was a millman in the saw mill. They had children Dorcas, Josie , Norman, Harland and Francis Loring Foss. In the 1910 census they resided in Jonesboro, Alpheus was a millman in the saw mill. They resided in Roque Bluffs before moving to Edmunds in 1923. In the 1920 census at Roque Bluffs Alpheus was a woodsman. The three younger children appeared in that census. In 1940 the family was in Edmunds where Alpheus and his son Francis were working on road construction and Norman was a laborer in the lumber business. Elsie was at that time age 51. Elsie's first two children, Dorcas and Josie died as babies, Dorcas of peneumonia at 6 mos and Josie at 1 day failure to thrive. Her son Harland died in WWII. Sons Francis and Norman of Portland and Lewiston survived her. Note husband Alpheus was born in 1874 according to the registration for the draft 1918 (January 25, 1874) and again in the 1900 census it was January 1874. His ages in the census however do not always agree with that DOB nor with the dates on his FaG memorial.
