Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, November 10, 1997 at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton. Ellen Campbell officiated. Burial was in the Fullerton Cemetery. Mrs. Brown was born on December 18, 1915 to Carl and Hansine (Iverson) Jacobsen on the family farm near St. Paul. Mrs. Brown was born on December 18, 1915 to Carl and Hansine (Iverson) Jacobsen on the family farm near St. Paul. She attended rural school District 48 in Howard County and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1931. She taught in the rural school she attended. She married Roger T. Brown of Palmer, Nebraska on August 11, 1935 in Smith Center, Kansas. They lived and farmed near Palmer and Fullerton until 1961 when her husband died. She lived the remainder of her life in Fullerton. In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed needlework, gardening, crafts and was an avid reader. She was instrumental in establishing the Nance County Historical Society Museum. Survivors include three sons: Bryan Brown of Omaha, Robert Brown of Salt Lake City, and Kenneth Brown of Phoenix, one daughter, Jean (Lindell) Schleif of Fairbury, one brother, Martin Jacobsen of Amarillo, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
