She was united in marriage to William DeVore December 25, 1907. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, son and wife, two granddaughters, Arlene and Genevieve DeVore, two brothers, Emery and Leslie Grossman of Edgar, four nephews six nieces and a host of friends. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, son and wife, two granddaughters, Arlene and Genevieve DeVore, two brothers, Emery and Leslie Grossman of Edgar, four nephews six nieces and a host of friends. Her father, mother, one brother, Oliver Grossman, and sister, Anna King, preceded her in death. She joined the church when but a girl and has always lived a true and faithful Christian devoting her time and strength as health permitted. She was a loyal and devoted friend to everyone. All who really knew her loved her for her gentle, kindly and sympathetic understanding. I cannot say and I will not say That she is dead--she is just away! With a cheery smile, and a wave of her hand, She has wandered into an unknown land; And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since she lingers there; And you, O you, who so wildly yearn, For the old-time step and the glad return; Think of her faring on, as dear In the love of there as the love of here; Think of her still as the same I say, She is not dead---she is just away. Services were held Friday, February 10, at 1:30 p.m. at the United Brethren Church conducted by Rev. E. A. Daniel, pastor of the church. Mrs. J. O. Skinner and Mrs. Archie Melvin sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "No Disappointment in Heaven" and "Does Jesus Care" accompanied by Mrs. Gertrude Melvin at the piano. Flower girls were Misses Mercedes Cox, Donna Lee King, Florence Judy and Nadine DeVore. Honorary pallbearers were Mesdames Jessie Cox, Della Cox, Marie Boynton, Viola Ahrens, Edna Hattan and Nora B. Spangler. Active pallbearers were nephews, Derward Jackson, Maurice Overturf, Ray Ringer, Wallace Grossman, Ivan King and Merton Grossman. The many beautiful floral tributes spoke of her many friends and relatives who loved her and will miss her presence among them. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery. Those from out-of-town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ringer of Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Roy DeVore, Mrs. and Mrs. Floyd Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kincannon of Oak, Harry Grossman and Mr. and Mrs. and Mrs. E.
