Mrs. Steiner worked for Fort Riley Civil Service from 1953 to 1960, and she operated a number of restaurants for many years. She was born Sept. 24, 1912, in Dickinson County, the daughter of Roy and Almeda Reed Budden. She married Oscar F. Steiner on Sept. 25, 1929, in Abilene. He preceded her in death Jan. 18, 1984. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wakefield Funeral Home Chapel in Wakefield. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery in Wakefield. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. Contributions may be made to the Elsie Steiner Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
