Description	:	Funeral services for Elwin A. Tyler were held March 29, 1991 at the United Methodist Church in Creighton with Revs. Koni Purdy Purscell and Kenneth Purscell officiating. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were Derlin Brandt, Harold Tyler, Bill Stokes, Elmer Wheeler, Robert Schwindt and Charles Tyler. Elwin A. "Mike" Tyler, the son of Daniel and Margaret (Parkhurst) Tyler, was born January 8, 1915 at Winnetoon. He was baptized in the Methodist Church on June 27, 1942. "Mike" Tyler, the son of Daniel and Margaret (Parkhurst) Tyler, was born January 8, 1915 at Winnetoon. He was baptized in the Methodist Church on June 27, 1942. He died March 26, 1991 at the Creighton Care Centre. He attended school at Winnetoon and Venus before graduating from Orchard High School. He worked in road construction and during WWII at the Mead Ordinance Plant. On August 6, 1941 he was united in marriage to Helen Hoferer at the United Methodist Church in Creighton. He was in the livestock and grain trucking business for many years, also the gravel business. He was a member of the Creighton Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Helen of Creighton; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mylon Filkins of Bakersfield, CA and son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Donna Tyler of Creighton; six grandchildren; uncles, aunts and cousins.
