Read More	Clough, Emery 19 Feb 1842-21 Oct 1921 Emery Clough died Friday morning, October 21, at 8 o'clock at his hone on Fifth Street, his death resulting from paralysis. He was stricken with Paralysis Sunday morning of last week and again that afternoon, never regaining consciousness after he was stricken. He was born at Alta, Maine on February 19, 1842 and was married to Luella M. Brown at Afton, Iowa on November 14, 1870 and came immediately afterward to Villisca to make his home. He lived her continuously from that time until his death except for one year spent in Lincoln, Nebraska and a couple years in Council Bluffs. Mr. Clough was the proprietor of the first meat market in Villisca, conducting his place of business on the site now occupied by Snow's Restaurant and he conducted also a grocery store on lower Third Avenue for several years during his early residence here. Soon after coming to Villisca he purchased the residence where he lived during nearly all the years of his life in this city. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. W. A. Kelley of Villisca. He was a member of the Methodist Church. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. J. L. Boyd in charge of the service and burial was in the Villisca Cemetery. The pall bearers were W. A. Harry and J. H. Kelley and B. W. Welsh of Villisca, Iowa, Wm. Brown of Omaha and Ralph Clough of Afton.
