Description	:	Emily Angeline Plummer was born in Indiana June 30, 1857, and departed this life December 21, 1937, at the home of her daughter in North Platte, at the age of 80 years, 5 months, 21 days. On May 25, 1874, she was united in marriage to George W. Ray in Jackson county (sic), Kansas, where they resided until 1876, when they came to Filmore (sic) county (sic), Nebraska. In 1878 they moved to the farm four miles east of Nelson making this their home until September, 1921, when they moved to Nelson. To this union were born eight children, the two... Read More	Emily Angeline Plummer was born in Indiana June 30, 1857, and departed this life December 21, 1937, at the home of her daughter in North Platte, at the age of 80 years, 5 months, 21 days. On May 25, 1874, she was united in marriage to George W. Ray in Jackson county (sic), Kansas, where they resided until 1876, when they came to Filmore (sic) county (sic), Nebraska. In 1878 they moved to the farm four miles east of Nelson making this their home until September, 1921, when they moved to Nelson. To this union were born eight children, the two oldest dying in infancy. The others are Edmond of Dickens, Mrs. Ethel Jackson of North Platte, Luther of Des Moines, Iowa, and Arthur, Millard, and Clifford of this community. There were nineteen grand children and seven great grand children. When a young woman Mrs. Ray was converted and joined in membership with the United Brethren Church. In 1924 she was with her husband transferred their membership to the M.E. Church of Nelson. He having passed on in 1931, she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Jackson. She has suffered ill health for over five years, the past year being bedfast. Though her illness was of long duration, she bore it patiently. She was a kind and loving mother, always thinking of her family and friends before herself, and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Relatives and friends from out of town here to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Lute Ray and Dale of Des Moines, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jackson of North Platte, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ray of Dickens, Lloyd Ray of Sterling, Colorado, and Mrs. Cecil Dunn of Somerset.
