Description	:	Mrs. Emma Wilken Weber Mrs. Emma Wilken Weber, daughter of Christian Wilken and his wife Gesche, nee Jauken, was born at Adams, Neb., on May 13, 1901. Soon after her birth she was presented to the Lord in Holy Baptism. She continued to grow in this faith and was confirmed in April, 1916 in Zion Lutheran Church at Pickrell by the Pastor, Rev. J. B. Read More	Mrs. Emma Wilken Weber Mrs. Emma Wilken Weber, daughter of Christian Wilken and his wife Gesche, nee Jauken, was born at Adams, Neb., on May 13, 1901. Soon after her birth she was presented to the Lord in Holy Baptism. She continued to grow in this faith and was confirmed in April, 1916 in Zion Lutheran Church at Pickrell by the Pastor, Rev. J. B. Reents. On January 23, 1920 she was united in marriage to John Weber. To this union was born one son and three daughters. Mrs. Weber was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, and one daughter. After suffering from a lingering heart ailment for a number of years, she was called from this life on November 26, 1959 at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 13 days. In addition to her husband, John she is survived by one son, Fred of Adams, two daughters: Mrs. (Minnie) Henry Buhr of Adams, and Mrs. (Mildred) Harvey Fossler of Beatrice and by ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the American Lutheran Church in Adams on November 29 with Rev. Harold Gronstal officiating. The Jr. Choir and Wayne Van Engen the soloist rendered her favorite hymns, “Take Thou My Hand Dear Father” and “Rock of Ages.” Mrs. Calvin Prange was organist. Pall bearers were the nephews: Alvin Wilken, Merle Wilken, Raymond Wilken, Fred Wilken, Christey Wilken and Fred Adams. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. She was a mother kind and true A cheery friend to all she knew; A comforter to those in need, A joy to all her friends indeed. A pleasing smile she wore each day, For those who happened on her way’ A warm hand clasp for those in sorrow, To cheer them on until the morrow, But she has gone, we do regret Her deeds of love we’ll ne’er forget Our Mother Dear, so loved by all, Has answered to her Makers call.
