Description	:	OBIT: Mrs. Jacob E. Rego, resident of the Kittitas Valley for 47 years, passed away at the Ellensburg General Hospital at one o'clock this morning following a gall bladder illness of three weeks duration. Mrs. Rego was born in Bethany, Mo., October 9, 1894, and was married to J. E. Rego, September 2, 1883. Their wedding journey was a trek across the plains by ox team to the Kittitas Valley. Mrs. Rego was born in Bethany, Mo., October 9, 1894, and was married to J. E. Rego, September 2, 1883. Their wedding journey was a trek across the plains by ox team to the Kittitas Valley. They arrived here in October, 1883. Seven children were born in the valley, four of whom are living and all are residents of Ellensburg. Mr. and Mrs. Rego took up farming on the Westside near the Ridgeway School and lived there continuously until about 11 years ago when they moved into Ellensburg. Mrs. Rego is survived by her widower and four daughters, Mrs. Ross Mason, Mrs. Calvin Gardenier, Mrs. A. B. Kennedy and Mrs. A. A. Jordin, all resident of Ellensburg. There are ten grandchildren. Three brothers and five sisters also survive her. They are: Stantch Ross, Portland; Will Ross, Ellensburg; Bob Ross, California; Mrs. S. L. Stewart, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Mrs. B. F. Stockwell, Sand Point, Idaho; Mrs. Frank Seaman, Carnation, Wash., Mrs. Effie Royce, California, and Mrs. M. E. Pearson, California. Mrs. Seaman has arrived in the city and Mrs. Stockwell and Mrs. Stewart are expecting and funeral arrangements are pending their arrival. Ellensburg Daily Record, December 19, 1930
