In 1900 she united with the Christian church In Harvard. She was united in marriage to Martin H. Hember of Albion, Nebraska, on August 7, 1901. Read More	The Harvard Courier (Harvard, NE), Thursday, November 21, 1929; pg. 6 OBITUARY Emma J. Nelson was born August 13, 1881 on a farm one mile north of Verona, where she grew to womanhood. In 1900 she united with the Christian church In Harvard. She was united in marriage to Martin H. Hember of Albion, Nebraska, on August 7, 1901. To this union of Mr. and Mrs. Hember were born three children: Irwin M. of Lincoln; Eunice E. Beattie of Clay Center, Nebraska and Irma who resides at home. In 1910 Mrs. Hember transferred her church activities to Verona, Nebr. She joined the Methodist Church of Saronville in 1922 where she has been an active member. She was taken to the Mary Lanning Hospital at Hastings, Nebraska on October 27 where she underwent an operation. She departed this life at noon on November 6, 1929 at the age of 48 years, 2 months and 24 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, the three children, one brother, Albert Nelson of McPherson, Kans., one sister Mrs. Minnie E. Nelson bf Saronville and a large number of relatives and friends. The funeral services were held in the Saronville M. E. church (sic) Friday afternoon November 8, at 2:00 p.m. The pastor Rev. Albert C. Monkman was in charge with Rev. J.E. Johnston of Fairfield assisting.
