In her youth, Mrs. Henry lived near Winamac. At the age of twenty, she was united in marriage to Earl Herbert Henry. They lived in Indiana for four years. To this union were born five children, Russell, Clifford, Lowell, Marie, and Jean. Mr. and Mrs. Henry moved to Kansas in 1906, making their first home in the Shiloh neighborhood west of Clay Center. For the past quarter of a century, they have lived on their farm southeast of Broughton. This loving woman leaves to mourn her passing her good husband, Earl Herbert; her sons and daughters, Russell D. of Susanville, Calif., Clifford R. of Detroit. Mich., Lowell of Morganville, Kan., Mrs. Marie Pfizenmaier of Green, Kan., and Martha Jean of Abilene. Kan.; four grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mary Wiesjahn of Winamac, Ind.; her brothers. Charles H. Wiesjahn of Star City, Ind., and Henry E. Wiesjahn of Winamac, Ind.; her sister, Mrs. Della L. Watts of Logansport, Ind.; several uncles and aunts and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Henry had a jolly disposition, never complaining about hardships; always willing and ready to help wherever and whenever needed. She was a very good neighbor, especially helpful in times of distress and sickness. She was unselfish and always happy in the progress of others. She was a wonderful wife and mother, with her interests centering on her home and children. She was industrious and untiring in her activities as a homemaker. She joined the Methodist Episcopal church as a girl in Winamac, Ind., and has always tried to live a consistent Christian life. Thus another good neighbor, devoted wife and mother has passed. May God richly bless the memory of this woman to her family and her many friends, by whom she will be greatly missed. The funeral was Monday morning with brief rites at the home, followed with the service in the Broughton M. E. church at 10:30, in charge of Rev. Evan F. Markley, pastor. A quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. George Dietrich, Mrs. Ernest [Pera] Bauer, and A. C. Tannehill sang "Abide With Me," "Jesus Savior, Pilot Me," "Have Thine Own Way, Lord," and "Lead, Kindly Light," accompanied by Miss Lucy Tannehill. The pallbearers were Joe Heuson, John Erickson, Ira Thornton, Elwood Kretzmeier, Frank Pierson, and Ray Pierson. Interment was in the Broughton Cemetery.
