Louise (Emma Lou) and Samuel had three children, Sanford Shaler, Lois Winnifred and Warren Earl. MRS. TYLER, 57, DIES SUDDENLY AT HER HOME Liscomb - (Special) - Mrs. Samuel Tyler, 57, wife of the superintendent of the Liscomb Consolidated school, died suddenly shortly after 11 p. m. Thursday at her home. Death was of coronary occlusion. Altho she had been in failing health for more than a year, she was planning a family reunion over the holidays. A daughter Lois, music supervisor in Casper, Wyo., schools had arrived and Warren Tyler of Iowa State college at Ames was also at home as was her sister, Josephine Shaler of Clemons. SON DUE HOME A son, Sanford Tyler, his wife and three daughters will arrive Friday. The Tyler's had been supper guests at the Ray Morris home returning home about 9:30 p.m. She was born Emma Louise Shaler Nov. 3, 1891 at Chelsea the daughter of J. W. and Geraldine Roe Shaler and was one of 10 children. She attended the Chelsea high school and was graduated from Iowa State Teachers college after which she taught in the Chelsea and Tama county schools. MARRIED IN 1916 She was married Aug. 26. 1916 to Samuel Tyler. They lived 24 years at Riceville, one year at Baxter, spent several years in Texas and have been in Liscomb since 1945. Mrs. Tyler was a member of the Methodist church and the O. E. S. at Riceville. In addition to those mentioned, survivors include a brother Roy Shaler of Colton, Calif., two brothers and a sister, Elmer Shaler and Sam Wesley Shaler and Mrs. Hugh Grant of Los Angeles, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. George Viet of Chelsea. The body was taken to the the Estel funeral home. No arrangements have been made pending word from relatives. Burial will be in Chelsea.
