Description	:	Emma Crone, daughter of Philip and Margaret Michael, was born July 17, 1868 at Beaver Crossing. They were a pioneer family in Seward county and she was reared and lived here all her life. On December 26, 1892, she married Thomas Crone and to them two daughters were born, Mrs. Flossie Frevert of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Margaret Stednitz of Lincoln. Read More	Emma Crone, daughter of Philip and Margaret Michael, was born July 17, 1868 at Beaver Crossing. They were a pioneer family in Seward county and she was reared and lived here all her life. On December 26, 1892, she married Thomas Crone and to them two daughters were born, Mrs. Flossie Frevert of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Margaret Stednitz of Lincoln. Her husband preceded her in death on July 12, 1938. Mrs. Crone was a devout Christian and her faith during her life was always a source of comfort and help to her, and especially during her last years when she was in ill health. Her love and pride in her family wre an inspiration to them, and her interest in her friends and town endeared her to many. She was a member of the Methodist church in Beaver Crossing. Following Mr. Crone's death Mrs. Crone lived alone in her home in Beaver Crossing until two years ago, when, after an extended illness, she went to live with her son-in-law and daughter, Richard and Margaret Stednitz in Lincoln. During this summer, on her vacation, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Walter and Flossie Frevert in Toledo, Ohio she became ill, and after a six weeks illness she passed away in a hospital at Toledo, Ohio on August 14, 1956 at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 28 days. Survivors besides her daughters include two grandsons, Gerald Cross of Galesburg, Illinois and St. Elmo Cross of Center, Texas; four great grandchildren and one great great grandddaughter; also a brother Henry Michael of Santa Cruz, California, three sisters, Mrs. Eva McDonald of Long Beach, California, Mrs. Lena Crowder of Minneapolis and Mrs. Daisy Kuhler of Beaver Crossing, and also a host of friends. Mrs. Crone's minister, the Rev. Ernest B. Stewart of Beaver Crossing, officiated at this service assisted by Rev. C E A McKim of Lincoln.
