Description	:	Mrs Victor Carlson passed away Monday evening at 10 o'clock at her home southeast of Villisca at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 3 days. She had been seriously ill only about a week. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. The funeral services were held at the North Grove church at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery there. Rev E.S. Menoher, assisted by Rev Robert Comyn, officiated. Emma Kate Swisher was born August 1, 1870, in Page county, Iowa. She was united in marriage February 22, 1904, to Victor Carlson of near Villisca, and since that time they have made their home southeast of town. Mrs Carlson was a member of the North Grove church. Besides her husband she leaves her aged father, Peter Swisher; two sisters, Pearl, living at home, and Mrs Harry Bennett of Seattle, Washington; three brothers, Ernest, living at home, and Benton and Clarence, who live in the immediate neighborhood; also a cousin, Mrs Frank Lindburg, who from infancy has lived in the Swisher home.
