Description	:	Wife of John Lenz Mrs. Emma (John) Zbinden Lenz died at her home one mile west of Poole at 11:30 o'clock Wednesday night, March 21, after an illness of two weeks with the measles. John and Emma were married October 17, 1883 at Aurora, Nebraska She leaves besides her husband, her mother, Lydia Zbinden of Poole, and one sister, a husband and nine children, five girls, Ida, Minnie, Tillie, Nora, and Louise; and four boys, William, Henry, Oscar and Elmer to mourn her death. The funeral took place Friday, a brief service taking place at the residence with Rev. Wm Langraf officiating, after which the remains were taken to the German Lutheran church where the services were conducted in the German language. Interment was in the Dow cemetery. Those attending from a distance are as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Steinhauser, of Amherst; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lehman, of Seward; Mr. and Mrs. August Werth , of Hampton; Mr. and Mrs. M. Menssen, of Chapman; Carl Lenz, of Hamilton county; and August Baumeister, of Chapman.
