| Description | : | Emaline came from an abolitionist family. She was the daughter of Thomas Pearson Sr. and his second wife Rhoda Rogers. She married very young, she was only 13 years old! Her husband was 11 years her senior, 24 years old. She married Joseph Richardson Allen (who has a cyber grave here) on 22 May 1857 at Newton, Jasper Co, IA.
