Read More	Cemetery records show that Emmor was the son of Emmor & Sarah (Baker) Fox. His first wife was Sarah Ellen Lawrence who is buried in Gallipolis, Ohio. Emmor Fox was born in Gallia county, Ohio, January 10, 1851. He was the son of Emmor and Sarah Fox, who established their home in Ohio during its pioneer days, emigrating from Pennsylvania. His parents were of the Friends, or Quaker faith, and for a period of about thirty years the deceased resided in Ohio. In the year 1880 he left his native state and established a new home in Chelsea township, Fillmore Co., Neb., where he resided until June 9, 1910, at which time he departed this earthly life being in his sixtieth year. During all his life he had followed the vocation of farming. In 1872 he married Sarah E. Lawrence, who preceded him to the last home. From this union two children, Dora McPherson of Dos Palos, Cal., and Louis I. Fox of Geneva, Neb., now remain to mourn the death of their parents. In 1889 he married Harriet E. Morrison, who with their son, Fred Fox, remain sorrowing at his departure. About forty years ago he was converted and brought to the light of God's saving grace, affiliating at that, time with the Christian church with commendable meekness. however, in the latter days of his life, he expressed a feeling that he should live to again give his testimony of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and died trusting in his Savior. He was a neighbor of Geneva Camp M. W. A. He has been relieved from his labors, and his cares and, toils are over. No more shall his counsel be heard in camp. No more shall accents of love flow from his death sealed lips nor the tear of sympathy course down his paled cheeks. We must place his form in the bosom of Mother Earth, there to sleep amid the scenes and among the friends he loved so well. As a respected citizen, a kind father and a loving husband, we part with him. Rest to his soul. The funeral took place at 3 p. m. Sunday from the Methodist Episcopal church in Geneva and was conducted by Rev. Miss Marks of the Free Baptist church. The Modern Woodmen were in charge of the funeral arrangements. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. A very large number of friends gathered to testify to their respect for the memory of the deceased. (Nebraska Signal, June, 07, 1910, front page)
