Description	:	The funeral service for Enid V. Harstad, 81, Valley City, North Dakota will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City. Rev. Mark Ostgarden will officiate and burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City and will continue an hour prior to services in the church on Saturday. Enid Vivian Gusaas was born November 14, 1924, near Hastings, North Dakota the daughter of Johnnie and Alma (Salthammer) Gusaas. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1943 and went on to Valley City Teachers College where she obtained her teaching certificate. She taught school in Lucca, North Dakota and at the Law School near Rogers, North Dakota. On June 9, 1946, she was united in marriage to Kermit Gordon Harstad in Hastings. They made their home in Stewart Township near Rogers until 1990 when they moved into Valley City. She entered the Sheyenne Care Center in August 2002. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City. She was active in WELCA and quilting. She was a volunteer at the Sheyenne Care Center gift shop for 10 years. Enid is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Leonard Didier of Alexandria, Minnesota; a granddaughter; brothers, Donald (Elaine) Gusaas of Jamestown, North Dakota, Howard (Frances) Gusaas of Great Falls, Montana, and Kenneth (Karen) Gusaas of Litchville, North Dakota; a sister, Carol (Doug) Derheim of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a brother-in-law, George Olson of St. Cloud, Minnesota; and a sister-in-law, Ethel Gusaas of Valley City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, a son, Keith; a grandson, Father Darin Didier; a brother, Milford Gusaas; and a sister, Jean Olson.
