Read More	Ephraim Crouse 1937 Bridgewater Bulletin On Saturday morning, April 17th., Ephraim Crouse, a highly respected citizen of Upper Branch, passed to his eternal reward at the advanced age of 82 years. His long life was well lived and when he realized that the end was near he yielded with Christian resignation. Until the past winter, he was able to be about and was confined to his bed for only a few weeks. He was a faithful member of the Baptist Church and funeral services were conducted at the home, grave, and church by the Rev. R.E. Whitney of Bridgewater, on Monday afternoon, April 19th. Rev. Whitney delivered a beautiful sermon based on Zech. 14:7, "At evening time it shall be light." Hymns sung were "Asleep in Jesus," "My Heavenly Home," and "Shall We Meet" He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Olivia Meldrum, who shared his joys and sorrows for more than half a century and who cared for him tenderly unto the end; two sons, Maynard, at home and Alvin, also of Upper Branch; one sister, Mrs. Ada Wagner of Aylesford and a brother, Austin, of North Grafton, United States.
