Description	:	Erick G. Johnson, a long time resident and farmer of Nuckolls County, who retired and moved to Davenport, died in Thayer County Memorial Hospital in Hebron, March 16, 1967 at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 11 days. Mr. Johnson was born in Malexander, Sweden, and came, to America in August of 1910. He worked as a hired hand in this vicinity and later went to Minneapolis Machine Company where he worked for a few years. He then returned to Nuckolls County to become engaged in fanning. Johnson, a long time resident and farmer of Nuckolls County, who retired and moved to Davenport, died in Thayer County Memorial Hospital in Hebron, March 16, 1967 at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 11 days. Mr. Johnson was born in Malexander, Sweden, and came, to America in August of 1910. He worked as a hired hand in this vicinity and later went to Minneapolis Machine Company where he worked for a few years. He then returned to Nuckolls County to become engaged in fanning. On Dec. 14, 1938 he was married to Mrs, Winifred Ficken. They resided on a farm in the Davenport vicinity where he farmed until retiring. To this union was born two daughters, one of whom died at birth. Survivors are his wife, Winifred; one daughter, Ellen; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Oscar Kramp(Wilma) of Bostwick, and Mrs. Howard Wagner, Jr., (Wyona) of Bruning; two stepsons: Wilfred Ficken of Edgar and Wilbert Ficken of Hebron; 16 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Marie Anderson of Marquette; one sister and three brothers in Sweden; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services, were held at the Methodist Church in Davenport Saturday, March 18, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George L. Evans officiating. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery with Masonic rites being conducted by Oak and Edgar Chapters.
