Description	:	Ernest H. Boetger, 81, Akron, died Tuesday, August 30, 1977 of a brief illness. Services were held Friday, Sept. 2 in the First Church of Christ with Rev. Michael McHugh officiating. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery under the direction of Schroeder funeral home. Pallbearers were Fay Smith, Arden Boetger, Donald Boetger, John Schuchard, Charles Caskey and Wayne Buum. Mr. Boetger was born May 31, 1896 in Union county, S.D. He married Mary E. Beeler June 14, 1916 at Elk Point, S.D. They farmed in the Akron community, and moved to Akron in 1929. For several years he was employed by the Milwaukee railroad. Survivors include the widow; five sons, Orville of El Paso, Texas, Parnell "Charlie" and Darrell, both of Akron, Clifford and Raymond of Le Mars; one daughter, Mrs. Daryl (Elaine) McCormick of Downey, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Marie West of South Sioux City and Mrs. Alvina Osterbuhr of Elk Point; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
