His parents were Casper Nienhueser and Florentina Nienhueser nee Bracksicker. Here he received his Christian training. At the age of 15 he with his mother came to America growing to manhood near Bear Creek, Indaina (sic). On March 1ar, 1866, he was married to Elizabeth Aufdenkamp, his wife having departed this life on April 26, 1919; however, he and his wife had the unusual honor of celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on March 1, 1916. In 1894 he, his wife and children left Indiana making their home in Adams county (sic), 5 miles north of Holstein, Here he faithfully toiled but did not forget the one thing needful, he was a zealous member of the Zion Lutheran church (sic), of which Rev. A. W. Wilk is pastor, regularly attending divine services. In the last months he had seen suffering from heart trouble and infirmities of old age and being a Christian firmly believing in Him who came to save them who were lost, he departed this life on the 30th day of June, 1925, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 4 days. He leaves to mourn his loss 6 sons and one daughter; 5 daughter-in-laws and one son-in-law, 37 grandchildren and a host of friends. On July 5th, 1925, the remains were taken from the home of his son-in-law, Heye Borchers, where he lived the last months and also died, to Zion Lutheran church (sic) where services were conducted in the German and the English languages by his pastor Rev. A. W. Wilk. His resting place is next to his wife in the Zion Lutheran cemetery (sic) in Wanda township (sic), Adams county (sic), Nebraska.
