Description	:	Ervin Duane Blades, 64, of Beaverton, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 27 at Heart of Florida Hospital in Davenport, Florida. He was born and lived in Beaverton all his life. In his retirement he spent winters in Davenport, Florida and at his home in Beaverton during the summer months. He graduated from Beaverton High School in 1958 and worked at Dow Corning Corp. for 34 years. Music was the love of Ervin's life, and he played in local bands in the Beaverton and Gladwin area. Read More	Ervin Duane Blades, 64, of Beaverton, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 27 at Heart of Florida Hospital in Davenport, Florida. He was born and lived in Beaverton all his life. In his retirement he spent winters in Davenport, Florida and at his home in Beaverton during the summer months. He graduated from Beaverton High School in 1958 and worked at Dow Corning Corp. for 34 years. Music was the love of Ervin's life, and he played in local bands in the Beaverton and Gladwin area. At retirement, he enjoyed playing at nursing homes in Florida. He was a member of East Side Assembly of God Church in Winter Haven, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Jean (Lang) Blades; two sons, Ervin Blades, Jr. and Robert (Jodie) Blades, both of Beaverton; Jean's children, Natalie (Marty) Cooper of Beaverton, and Donald Gust, Jr. of Gladwin;one brother, Shirley (Pauline) Blades; two sisters, Lois (Raymond) Schaard and Grace Farrow; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral servicesare scheduled for Monday, March 7 at 1 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 6 from 2 to 9 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home. These dates are tentative, so please call Hall Funeral Home to confirm days and times.
