Grashorn, 60, who died on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at the Stanton Health Center, where he resided since Aug. 17. The Rev. Rodney Rixe officiated and burial was in the Stanton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Branz, Butch Walters, Jason Sothan, Bill Watts, Mitch Armentrout and Dan Snell. Honorary pallbearers were nieces and nephews. Ervin L. Grashorn was born on Nov. 2, 1940 in Stanton County to Richard Grashorn and Amelia (Daum) Grashorn. He received his schooling at St. John's Parochial School and Stanton High School. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church. On July 7, 1965 he was united in marriage to Gladys Mack at the Stanton County Courthouse. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stanton. He was employed as a farm hand for Louis and Alfred Pohlman and the Gus Bremer farm. He was also employed at Consolidated Blenders of Stanton and Wisner, at the Pilger Pellet Companies and at the Dinklage Pig Farm at Pilger Survivors include his wife, two sons, Ervin Grashorn Jr. and Gary Grashorn, both of Stanton and one daughter, Vilean Grashorn of Grand Island, three grandchildren, one brother, Eldon Grashorn and his wife.
