Description	:	Estella was born near Cedar Creek in a tiny community called Hall (Amboy), but is now considered part of Woodland, WA, thus, the name Hall was dropped. After graduating from Battle Ground High School in 1950, she worked in an Amboy hardware store where she met the love of her life, Burke Sawyer. They married in 1956. Burke and Estella had three children—one daughter and two sons, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Sadly, she did not experience the joy of becoming a grandmother. After graduating from Battle Ground High School in 1950, she worked in an Amboy hardware store where she met the love of her life, Burke Sawyer. They married in 1956. Burke and Estella had three children—one daughter and two sons, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Sadly, she did not experience the joy of becoming a grandmother. Estella was a talented artist. For anyone who remembers the old Amboy Cafe, she painted a wall mural depicting Tum Tum mountain, a Chelatchie Prairie landmark that was located in the Siouxon area of the Cascade Mountain Range. Her creative talents were passed down from generation to generation. She was also an avid collector of antique dishware. Burke built a ledge near the ceiling of their home where she could display her beautiful collection. Their home was like walking into a grand museum. Estella and Burke loved square dancing and danced with the Timber Toppers. She is survived by her brother, three children, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
