Read More	MRS. M. J. DOBER DIED SUNDAY FUNERAL WEDNESDAY Mrs. Martin J. Dober passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Omaha, on Sunday, May 26, where she had been hospitalized some June 2, 1962, following brain surgery. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar P. (Selma Swanson) Anderson, she was born at Silver Creek, Nebraska on November 9, 1896. Her marriage to Martin J. Dober took place in Omaha on September 26, 1921 and they immediately came to Humphrey to make their home, he having opened a Ford Garage here in 1920. During the many years of residence in our city, she was associated with her husband in the operation of the business and following his death March 6, 1956, she continued its operation until September of last year. Active in Red Cross work, she served for 16 years as Home Service Chairman, was member of the Platte County Board for 5 years, served as chairman for the blood program in Humphrey and co-chairman of the county blood program. She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic, a member of the Christian Mothers Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, Humphrey Commercial Club, and several social clubs and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Her body lay in state at the Crosby-Kunold Mortuary, where the rosary was prayed on Tuesday evening. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Omaha, at 10 a.m. Wednesday and interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, where her husband is buried. She is survived by a brother, Francis Anderson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two nieces, Miss Shirley Anderson of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Maxine Celander of Des Moines; a nephew, Richard Anderson of Des Moines, Iowa; brother-in-law, Matt Dober of Rogers, and John Dober of Omaha; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Gesila Thriller of Omaha. Mrs. Dober was a competent business woman and until her health failed she continued the business she and her husband had built on the same high plane on which it was conducted throughout the many years they had been in business here. She was good hearted and sympathetic and her charity reached all walks of life. Interested in the welfare of the community, she gave her time and finances for its betterment.
